New York Pizza Depot was founded by Joe Nazar, Arielle’s father, in 2003. The first pizzeria was located across from Fort Campbell’s Gate 3. Mr. Nazar sold that pizza store and over the next 17 years moved his pizzeria to different locations around the Clarksville, TN area. Joe Nazar was completely at home in his pizza kitchen. Indeed, he took pride in his fresh ingredients standard.
In 2019, Arielle Nazar and her fiance, Sam Kight acquired the family business. The new leadership team at New York Pizza Depot are holding on to the same “fresh ingredients standard” set by Joe Nazar. All pizza dough is made in house every day. At the present time, the pizzeria only makes thin crust New York style pizzas. However, plans are to offer Sicilian pizzas (thick crust) in the very near future.
All New York Pizza Depot pizzas are cooked in a brick oven specially ordered from New York City. Cooking pizzas in a brick oven allows the crust to cook perfectly to compliment the flavors of the sauce, cheese and toppings. Cooked to perfection, New York style!
